Iran to launch 11th National Javan Music Festival in September

The National Javan Music Festival is to be held in three main categories in September 2017.

The 11th edition of the festival called for entries for three sections of Iranian traditional music, Iranian folk music and classical music.

Singers and players of the tar, tombak, santur, sitar, oud, law, fiddle and flutes in traditional section, players of the oboe, piano, trombone, trumpet, flute, clarinet, classical guitar, violin, cello, viola and horn in classical section and singers and players of stringed wind and percussion instruments are to compete with each other.

There are three age categories designed for the event which are the youth of 15-18, 19-23 and 24-29 years old.

The closing ceremony of the festival is to be held in September 2017 in Tehran, announcing the winners of each section.
